EXCITING NEWS
The secret is officially out…and I am so excited to be able to finally share the good news!! Daniel and I are expecting our first little one around the estimated due date of October 9. It’s both a relief and a disappointment that that’s still so far away!
I’m at 10 weeks and already have a little baby belly popping! Not so easy to hide anymore! (That was the best pic I could get taking it myself!) I’ve been really tired and practically falling asleep at my desk at work. I’ve also had not-so-wonderful morning sickness that lasts all day. A friend told me to try wearing seabands (those highly attractive gray things on my wrists) and they’ve worked really well. Otherwise, we’ve just been really happy and excited about the new addition to our family!
Baby DnA is about the size of a plum right now, but has a steady heartbeat, all major organs and even fingers and toes. Hard to believe that so much can happen in such a short amount of time!
(Irene akka, you were right and you didn’t even know it!)
Congratulations to Anu and Dan
Let's not forget to congratulate Thatha anand and Aji/Avva Kala!

WHAT CAN WE GIVE UP FOR LENT ?
A Different Approach to fasting
Fasts have a tendency to be oriented toward things like giving up food
or television. But there are many other creative ways we can welcome
Jesus' healing touch.
Here are suggestions you may want to consider.
1. Fast from anger and hatred. Give your family an extra dose of love
each day.
2. Fast from judging others.
Before making any judgments, recall how
Jesus overlooks our faults.
3. Fast from discouragement.
Hold on to Jesus' promise that He has a perfect
plan for your life.
4. Fast from complaining.
When you find yourself about to complain,
close your eyes and recall some of the little moments of joy Jesus has
given you.
5. Fast from resentment or bitterness!.
Work on forgiving those who may
have hurt you.
6. Fast from spending too much money.
Try to reduce your spending by ten percent
and give those savings to the poor.

UNBELIEVABLE!
The Real Slumdog Millionaire?
When watching Slumdog Millionaire, there was one thing a lot of people did not understand. In the movie the kids who were from the slums became tour guides and took white people around on tours. Everyone had the same question, how did these kids know English. If they are from the slums how can they pick up one of the most difficult languages in the world? Well here is a video of a kid from the slums who also happens to be selling peacock feathers and check out how many languages he knows. This video was a big hit a few years ago and they just found this kid again in his teenage year and he is still doing the same thing. Check out these clips.

ALBUQUERQUE HERE WE COME!

We just want to update all of you with some exciting information from Anu and Dan-no, they're not going to have a baby- they are moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico! Dan will be working at the Kirkland Air Force Base (JAG) for a couple of years. Daniel and Anu will be driving to Albuquerque on April 11th. They hope to live off base and we'll get their new address and phone number when they settle down. Anu will be 11 hours driving distance from LA so we will see her more often (she promises). In the meantime let's pray that Anu and Dan will have a safe trip and will love Albuquerque. For those of you who have never been Albuquerque ,now you have a reason to go!
